We are very proud to have the most qualified and highly experienced instructors in New York City as part of our teaching faculty. Our violin teachers are able to work with any student – from beginner through advanced.
Online Violin lessons occur once per week. Lessons may be 30, 45, or 60 minutes long. You will learn how to play musically right in the comfort of your own home!
How are online violin lessons different from in person lessons?
Online lessons maintain the high standard that Riverside Music Studio has for all of our music classes.
Unlike many of the pre-recorded tutorials and asynchronous classes available on YouTube or Google, these violin lessons are an incredibly personalized learning experience. Each private class is adapted to the students’ needs.
Our encouraging violin instructors will keep you motivated and will help you learn to play the pieces that you love!

What platform is used to conduct virtual violin lessons?
Both Zoom and Skype lessons are available. Your violin teacher will assign homework and send lesson materials through these platforms.
In addition, you may purchase suggested music books on your own.
What do I need to start?
There’s no need for special equipment. In order to begin learning violin online, you will need to have:
- an instrument with a bow
- rosin
- a music stand
- a laptop, tablet, or smartphone
- a stable internet connection.
