Peter Fancovic is a pianist whose performance career has taken him to Spain, France, South Korea, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Cuba and USA where he performed solo piano recitals, chamber music and concerto repertoire. He started at an early age when he received awards at international piano competitions in Slovakia and Czech Republic and continued later in USA where he received full scholarship at Manhattan School of Music and he studied with Solomon Mikowsky.
Peter Fancovic is a versatile pianist and enjoys performing various styles of music both as a solo pianist and collaborator with instrumentalists and vocalists. He has presented recitals at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam with the New Masters on Tour Concert Series, and at International Piano Festivals in Spain, (Canary Islands, Torrelodones, Valladolid), The Louisiana Piano Series, (Northwestern State University), and the Manhattan School of Music. Moreover he has distinguished himself in the concerto repertoire, performing with orchestras, such as the Slovak Radio Orchestra, The International Youth Orchestra (Slovakia), Bratislava Chamber Orchestra, The Bratislava Conservatory Symphonic Orchestra, and the Manhattan School of Music Chamber Sinfonia.
Early on as a student and later as a professional, his career was marked with awards for Best Interpretation of Beethoven’s work (Prague), Winner of the Manhattan School of Music Concerto Competition and as a Finalist in the Concert Artists and Associates International Concerto Competition in New York and Helen Cohn award for Chamber Music received at Manhattan School of Music
