We offer private music lessons in piano, voice, guitar, violin, drums, and flute in NYC. Lessons are available for children, teenagers, and adults at all skill levels.
Absolutely! Many of our students begin with no previous musical experience. We also work with intermediate, advanced, and professional level students.
Yes! In fact, more than half of our students are adults. Whether you have always wanted to learn an instrument, are returning after many years, or are preparing for auditions or performances, we would be delighted to work with you. We do not have any age restrictions for working with adult students, and we work with many adult beginners.
For children, these are the minimum ages we recommend for beginning music lessons:
If your child is close to these ages, we are happy to schedule an introductory lesson and the music teacher will evaluate if your child is ready to start.
For adults, there are no age restrictions.
Not necessarily. For your introductory lesson, we provide everything needed, including an instrument, music books, and manuscript paper notebook. Your teacher will be happy to recommend an appropriate instrument for you to purchase or rent for ongoing lessons.
Our teachers work with students interested in classical, jazz, pop, Broadway, rock, contemporary, and you can combine any styles you are interested in.
You can also study songwriting, composition, and music theory with us.
We normally start with a single introductory lesson. This allows your child and/or yourself to meet your teacher, experience our teaching style, and make sure it’s a great fit before committing to weekly lessons.
We offer 30-minute, 45-minute, and 60-minute private lessons. You can choose any lesson duration for your introductory lesson and your teacher will recommend the best duration for you going forward.
Most students attend one lesson per week. Some advanced and/or very eager students take 2 or more lessons each week.
Adult students also have an option to take bi-weekly lessons if the lessons are scheduled at the very beginning or the end of the teacher’s daily schedule.
We do, but this option is only available for adult students and the lessons must be the first or the last in the teacher’s schedule. Typical times for the bi-weekly lessons are usually around 2pm and after 7pm.
Bi-weekly lessons are not available for children as they don’t allow for consistent progress for students younger than the college age.
