There are both advantages and disadvantages to learning music online vs learning in person! It’s important to have an honest perspective on the differences between the two to choose the best option for music lessons.




There are many career options for pianists.  Being a professional pianist is often a hard job that requires many years of learning and practicing but in the end it can make you very happy!




Summer is made for children to enjoy their lives and just be kids – we completely support that! But is it a good idea to take a break from music lessons during summer break or will it completely de-rail your progress?




If you’ve ever watched a professional pianist perform, you may have been amazed at how they are able to harness the power of all 88 keys with what looks like relative ease. You may wonder: how is it possible that pianists are able to keep track of all of those keys?




At our music school in NYC, a frequent comment from new piano students is: “I understand how to read the right hand notes but I am really bad at reading the left hand notes.” So why do so many beginning piano students struggle with reading the left hand? 




Learning how to read and interpret music is an important part of music lessons! Whether or not a child is ready to learn how to read depends upon physical, social, and psychological factors.
